Emma

Age 9

Meet Emma, a smart and vibrant young girl who is extremely curious about the world around her. Emma’s favorite things are playing with stuffed animals and using her imagination to bring things like Pokemon cards to life. Emma does very well in school and is always interested in learning more. She frequently asks questions on long car rides and loves to joke around with those close to her.  

Emma has been through a great deal of struggle through her young life, however she is very resilient. She never lets her struggles infringe on her curiosity and she does best in an environment where she can learn and ask questions. She is very eccentric and if she isn’t asking about how things work around her she is creating imaginative scenarios for her stuffed animals and toys. She loves to give them names and make stories about how they all interact together. Emma is a very open young girl and she loves to tell others about things she has learned but she does struggle with expressing deep emotions and would do best with an extremely patient family that is accepting of any emotions she might have. Emma would thrive in a 2 parent household that is extremely tolerant and understanding. She would do best as the only child or the youngest child in the home. Any home taking Emma in would need to be prepared to give her a high level of time and attention to ensure she thrives as she continues to grow into a young woman.  Emma has 2 younger sisters and any family would be recommended to maintain contact for all the girls’ well-being. Any family would be lucky to open their home to Emma.
