Naomi and Alexandra

Age 8 and 6

Naomi, who is 8 years old has a caring personality and enjoys helping those around her; she’s even been described as motherly. One of the first things that you notice about her is her dazzling smile and social personality. She has a very creative mind, loves to make art and play pretend teacher, which she hopes to be when she gets older. She has many successes in school and likes to learn about science and reading although she struggles a bit in math. Naomi loves to play with her sister, Alexandra, and foster brother but can also play independently if needed. She has learned to care for her basic needs and is learning functional tasks in the home such as setting the table and loading the dishwasher. Naomi becomes more engaged in conversation when she has spent some time around a family and feels comfortable in her surroundings.

Alexandra (“Aly”), who is 6 years old, has an impish grin that will steal your heart! Aly, as she is fondly called, is a loving and energetic little girl. She loves to play tag and hide-and-seek outside with her sister, Naomi, and when inside she loves putting puzzles together. Aly desires to be policewoman when she grows up and live in the “big city.” Aly has gained huge strides in school and has learned to write her name, add and subtract with the help of one on one teaching. Although Aly is a little hard to understand initially she works diligently on her verbal skills with the help of a counselor from school. Aly is a wonderful little girl who loves to please everyone around her.

The Naomi and Aly really want to be adopted by a mother and father who are active and enjoy playing outside. They would like parents who are also creative and like to do art projects. The girls would do well in a home with other children as they are very social and are comfortable being around dogs or cats. Aly needs parents who can work closely with her academics and other therapies. The girls need parents who will allow them to stay connected with their biological family.
